12012 – hide and seek tour 2006 (live dvd review)

it’s been awhile since i last saw anything by 12012 which is funny cause at the end of last year not a month passed without a release by the numeric-named jrock band
so.. live to go, as those r my faves 😀
the concert was recorded in liquidroom ebisu (like the despa live and many other) so in a smaller place last summer
the beginning is as dark as possible.. haha kinda like the new diru album. slow and dark. a bit gothic rather than rockish
and -as in marrow of the bone- the party starts with the second song, with ‘vomit’.
till the 20th min the songs r the same. fast but kinda monoton “war-war” ones. like.. ppl can headbang on it but nothin more. after the 1st off-shot vids we got some songs at last worthy to listen. more on guitar, some solos. even wataru shows us that he can sing!
nevertheless i got bored of them pretty much. don1t understand me, they play good songs and for mixes and v.a. albums some of their songs r pretty useful. but for a whole concert. dunno, imo their songs r the same. shouts after shouts, some good riffs and not a bit of change.. couldn’t hear a popish song.. or something bit visual keiish. pure rock and that’s all.
well at least they played ‘shooting star’ as a last song. it was good
so.. don’t watch it 😀 or only if u want to headbang a bit, then worthy!
