About Memories of the Untold
My 5th chill album aims to show my respect toward the past. Namely with the song Dreams about The Empire – referring to The Empire album. As you may remember, I named this release as my fave from that era). Furthermore, I also wished to point toward something new and different, like Cherry DISCO I. A song we composed together with Dark Cherry members during a band session, but later decided not to use on stage.
The title ‘Memories of the Untold‘ refers to the past. Because we all have stories we did not speak about. I also had songs, I haven’t released before. I had several genres I wished to try myself out. On the other hand, I also had an increasing dedication towards oriental nature chill beats. It was the first time I was adding a song like that as part of my releases since the very first album. This time I would say Dreams about The Empire and Timeless Sunshine are the ones referred to as oriental chill beats.
But I added more genres
On the other hand, more electric beats were added such as the previously mentioned Cherry DISCO I. and the World of Hora. About the latter, I posted a short article with the story behind here.
Apart from these two genres, I ended the album with Looking for Laputa, inspired by the very famous Miyazaki movie: Castle in the Sky. Because we all love animes, right? 😉
It is also worth mentioning that this was probably my first chill album release where I focused a lot on the visual part as well. Yes! Back then in 2010 as a kid with a basic camera. I was not really able to produce great videos (and this thing hasn’t changed in 10 years lol), but still, to me, it was a great achievement because I was able to visualize my feelings and ideas.

As a nature-inspired LP, songs are primarily featured on similar themed mixes such as Sakura Beat and Sakura Beat 2. I also added songs to Nature Chill on the First Floor ’21 and Year of Tiger (both chill and electronic versions).
