Today, I’m excited to share some unique sounds with you – Little Instruments field notes, a sample pack designed for creative beat-making.

Bring a fresh, playful dimension to your music with my soundfonts featuring the distinct tones of Pianica, Harmonica, and Toy Piano. These recorded sounds highlight the quirky charm of small, expressive instruments – that could be a match for you for layering, looping, and experimenting with your favorite sampler.

About the Little Instruments Field Notes

Each sound in this pack is short (1-2 seconds in length) making it easy to integrate into dawless hardware samplers or on-the-go music production software like the Koala Sampler or Pocket Operator 33. Whether you’re crafting lo-fi beats or cinematic textures, these samples provide a lightweight yet character-rich foundation.

The recordings were made using my Tascam field microphone, a handy companion for capturing authentic, raw tones on the go.

  • [Field Notes] Old Piano

I will share some unique piano sounds with you today: Old Piano field notes from Szeged — a Sample Pack.

Bring a new dimension to your music with Old Piano from Szeged. It is a carefully crafted sample pack that delivers the authentic, haunting resonance of an old piano recorded in Szeged.

This release is a part of my ongoing effort to provide distinctive, royalty-free sounds that inspire creativity and experimentation in your productions.

About the Old Piano Field Notes

Recorded on-site with a high-quality field recorder, these samples capture the warmth and character of a vintage piano. Each sound is concise — 1-2 seconds in length — making them ideal (and lightweight) for looping or as unique keyboard layers in your beats. The pack works especially well with dawless hardware samplers and on-the-go software. Basically, I mean gadgets like the Koala Sampler or the Pocket Operator 33, letting you reshape these sounds to suit your style and expertise.

In case you would be interested, I used my Tascam field microphone I usually take with me during my trips. Read more about it in the Pocket Operator article above. It is a relatively inexpensive model but suits well for pocket music producers.

Old Piano from Szeged is free to download on my Bandcamp page. Simply click on the cover art to access it. I’m also working on other sample packs with various ambient field recordings, so stay tuned for new releases soon!

If you use these piano samples, I’d love to hear your creations! Please share your tracks with me, and don’t forget to check out more of my music in the ‘Music’ section above.

  • [Field Notes] Danube 2022

danube 2022 latte chill field notes

Let’s start 2024 with something new regarding music production: Danube field notes recorded in 2022. For a while now I have been thinking of producing some samples to make my music more unique and allow people to evolve.

Do not expect huge things. I have a decent field recorder, also featured here in-depth. I took it with me and recorded some ambient sounds of Budapest. As the title states, it was recorded in 2022. Location-wise I was by the bank of the Danube at Arpad Bridge on the Pest side. Due to the traffic noise, I tried to move away the much possible as well as worked on the samples in Ableton after the record.

Most of them are 1-2 seconds long, ideal for both looping or using them as a weird keyboard, depending on your expertise and level of sound shaping.

Danube 2022 is free, click on the cover and find the link on my Bandcamp page. I am also working on something different. I hope I can release it soon.

Any comments are welcome as always. Also, if you use the samples, kindly send me your songs, so I can listen to your creativity. Enjoy my beats as well under the ‘Music’ section on top.
