  • Old Ale

It has been a while since I last had the chance to upload a new wallpaper, so here comes Old Ale. Old Ale was originally released on Sapphire album at the end of 2021. Listen to the beat below and scroll for my story.

    About the anime wallpaper

This photo was taken in Budapest. Somewhere in the 13th district I guess. It was early morning and I had some business to do over there. Therefore I remember walking in the cold morning. It was winter already, yet there were some yellow leaves still. It was really uplifting, yet melancholic. I had just too many beats that may reflect the vibe. After giving it several thoughts I decided to choose Old Ale. This song really-really gives that vibe. Might be misleading as many of you might wish to add some more happy feelings to the picture. But I was not too happy that day. Cannot recall why? Maybe it was winter. Or just too cold and I had to get up early..

old ale sapphire lo-fi beats with anime vibe

    Old Ale – the song

Well, Old Ale was inspired by a Pokémon game I recently replayed in my free time. For more info on this topic, check the link on Sapphire above. If you played the game, you will know which city inspired the beats.

Otherwise I originally composed the beats on Ableton with my Novation Launchkey. Yet, later decided to move the whole album to PO-33, making it much more lo-fi.

Therefore the whole song was restructured and played again on PO-33 KO. Though, I released the original version as single b-side song.

From genre perspective it is oddly melancholic for a lo-fi beat. I know many of the low fidelity fans to expect warm melodies. Somehow I end up composing more songs in minor, offering a melancholic vibe to the listener.

  • [Single] Rust Borough

Rust Borough is the last single from Sapphire album. Click on the cover and grab it for free.
The song is a lo-fi beat but the upbeat type of. Fully composed with PO-33 KO. A little pocket sampler released by Teenage Engineering. It was composed during my trip to Lefkada if I recall it well. Therefore pretty minimalist as I did not use DAW or even Koala Sampler.

The cover of Rust Borough on the other hand features a photo from my trip to Tokyo. It was in 2019. We shot many photos randomly with my wife. Some turned out to be perfect cover materials for my releases. I edited it with Snapseed and used Adobe smartphone apps either. I mean for the titling and adding some texts.

As for the song: Rust Borough is inspired by a Pokémon game. You may guess which. I replayed it after like 10+ years. As a result I started working on some beats and later released them. Sapphire is like the first part of a duo album. More to come in 2022 I promise. Keep following, not to miss what happens after Rust Borough. Enjoy lo-fi house like beats for free by following me on my channels.

  • [Single] Meteor Falls

    Meteor Falls by Latte Chill

Meteor Falls is a new single released on the 27th of December. The title song is a lofi chillout beat produced with PO-33 KO on the go. I was inspired by the game of Pokémon Sapphire and replayed it after so many years. Spoiler: one more single to come, all songs are going to be fully free.

Until then enjoy Meteor Falls and the complete Sapphire album. And buy me a ko-fi if you can.

    Bit more about Meteor Falls

The song as mentioned above was produced on the go. We travelled with my wife to Lefkada by fall. I took my PO-33 KO along with myself to the journey and kept composing beats. As a result, I ended up sketching a dozen of beats I started to use up as part of my releases. I have a couple of more to go. Sapphire features many of the songs. Ruby, that may come somewhere in 2022 will also feature sketches.

I felt challenged to work on beats without a DAW. Almost finishing them in one go. 4 lines for melodies and drums. That is what PO-33 can offer. That really offered my a frame how to think during the production. I mean to my point of view lo-fi beats are generally simple. But limiting ourselves to 4 is a different matter.
