  • [Single] Here and Now

    here and now latte chill

    Here and Now is a Dark Cherry song. We composed and performed it in 2008, covered by Latte Chill as lofi beats a 12 years later.

    Essentially, it is a free song. My aim was to cover it, nothing else. A tribute to my old band.

    The song will be part of Darkest Cherry, an EP with four covers. Let me add more information about it later.

    As stated above, originally the song was released on a Dark Cherry EP back in 2007 or 2008. The song was composed by Kyoki, while lyrics were composed by him and OB (aka Latte Chill back then). Later in 2020, I decided to rework a couple of songs and compose some chill beats. This project will feature the cover of many other songs as well. I wish to work on our old pieces one by one.

    The cover is featuring a true Here and Now project as you can see the mount Fuji during sunset from the Metropolitan Government Building of Tokyo. It was a one of a kind moment of my life, I thought I used this photo the best to describe the song. Originally, it was a love song.

  • [Single] Stars Falling Down

    Starting a very new and long project in 2020, Stars Falling Down is a Dark Cherry song, covered in Latte Chill genre after 10 years.

    The song was originally composed by Kyoki of Dark Cherry (my band, we rocked the stage with until 2011). Almost 10 years passed since and I contacted all the members to see how they are doing and if they allow me to rework the original pieces of Dark Cherry in chill genre.

    Let me boost vibe with Tokyo video as well. An elevator music, while getting off from the Tokyo Tower. What a magnificent scenery. I wish I could travel back and enjoy the city again.

    Lastly, the same song but this time a short walk in Shibuya. This was part of the same travel, but during noon. We went to enjoy a lively part of the city.

  • [Single] Cape Brink

    Cape Brink was one of the singles right before the release of Orange album, my 14th chill beats music album. I was really really excited while working on this EP as I intended to offer the listener a trip like vibe through-out the whole album.

    About Cape Brink single

    I took the cover shot from Sardinia from our last year trip. I thought it deserves to become a cover photo. In fact I shot it with an action cam I pretty much like because its color vibe. As it is this photo was taken with an analogue camera, not a digital one.

    As for the song itself, it somehow mixes the oriental vibe with a kind of morning dew feeling with high-pitched piano and other instruments. It is pretty acoustic vibe, also willing to show my love of nature (even though I produced it on my laptop).

    As for the album, I was inspired largely by the hidden islands of Pokémon Leaf Green game after finishing the Elite Four, in the meantime hoping to continue Leaf Green album as well.

    I feel like this album however became a bit gloomy all-in-all but tell me what do you think about it? Give it a spin and drop me your honest thoughts.
