[Single] Pewter

pewter single

Pewter is part of Leaf Green nature chill album saga, where I sampled hangpan (or hang) samples to create a minor toned sad chill ambience. It kind of offers a unique and bittersweet vibe. Maybe not that sad chill. Tell me! I am curious.

About Pewter

The chill beat was inspired by the Pewter City or by Japanese name: Nibi City. This place is considered to be a small oasis, where you fight for the Boulder badge, the first badge in the game – also getting ready for a very long journey through the caves of Cerulean. Remember those times? If so, you also played with the early Pokémon games. A lovely era of Nintendo and in general handheld consoles.

I wished to present this melancholy feeling, being tired after the battle but still looking forward to the rocks and mountains and preparing for a long journey.

What else I can say about this song?

As mentioned many times before: it is by no way affiliated to Pokémon official soundtracks, nor to Nintendo corp. No copyright infringement is intended. I simply replay my childhood’s fave games as a retro gamer, reliving my young age a bit and sample some songs based on the cities/areas ambience.

I also added Pewter to Dozens later, my twelve years anniversary compilation album. Enjoy Pewter with authentic Tokyo night scenery. A cover I shot in 2019 during my Japan trip. Learn more about it here.

I also featured Pewter on my mixes. See one instance below. I hope you like nature chill mixes, you may find tons on this website.
