Dragonic Eve

About Dragonic Eve

What an album! What a year! Dragonic Eve was my fourth chill beats album. In fact out of 3 were all composed in 2009. This album is a mix in terms of the origins. Half the album was composed in Germany during my Erasmus. On the other hand some songs were either composed in 2008 (such as Butterfly EGO. This song is a remix of a T21CB song). Or the rest was finished after my arrival in November 2009.

This album is more chill than the previous ones. You may still find some upbeat songs like Happy Hour or darkwave inspired such as Dark Sorrow, but the majority of the beats are oriental chill ones featuring koto and other traditional instruments.

Using koto, vollenharp and other instruments heavily influenced my works on The Empire chill beats album, Memories of the Untold – which I released a year later in 2010 but even later during the production of oriental chill beats Color Scheme EP.

Dragonic Eve marked the potential for me that I can produce more songs in solo than I could dream before. Back then we worked on songs with the band. But clearly with 5 people our limitations were different. On the other hand I had tons of ideas. And it really took me time to start this project. And to be able to put together my thoughts in one genre. Finishing songs are never easy. But starting them. Furthermore I needed a concept. Like what is my whole solo all about? Do I want to perform them live or simply for the joy of music production? I mean stream platforms came later. Myspace was fun, but not a monetising solution back then.

Best oriental chill songs and videos from Dragonic Eve album

Lastly my videos and Dragonic Eve songs. A Youtube playlist I put together with random videos recorded with my phone. Over the years these playlists gets bigger and bigger. I believe it is worth following them if you like the album. Because I always try to add the songs to the videos based on their mood. Let it be a train leaving or pigeons flying. I see the chill in every situation.

Recommended to use earphones. I optimise most of my songs for earphones.
