[Single] Kannazuki

kannazuki single latte chill po-33

In Japan’s traditional calendar, Kannazuki (神無月) marks October as the “Month Without Gods.” According to folklore, the deities leave their shrines and travel to Izumo for an annual gathering – leaving the rest of the country in a quiet, spiritually still state.

My latest lofi single channels this sense of emptiness and calm, reflecting October’s deepening autumn mood.

Continuing the journey from Nagatsuki, Hazuki, Fumizuki, and beyond, this release enters the quieter phase of the seasonal cycle – where the air cools, leaves fade, and silence becomes part of the atmosphere.

Crafting Kannazuki with the PO-33 KO

Created with the PO-33 KO, Kannazuki blends soft, drifting melodies with understated percussion to evoke a peaceful, introspective mood. The sound design leans into minimalism – warm pads, faint textures, and gentle, minimalist rhythms – offering space for reflection as the days grow shorter.

The track carries a subtle spiritual emptiness, not dark, but contemplative. It’s music for late-autumn evenings, when quiet roads, cool breezes, and dim light set the tone.

The B-Side: Kinusaragi

Paired with the main single is the B-side Kinusaragi (衣更着) – a word connected to the idea of “changing clothes” for colder weather as seasons turn. The track embodies this transition: slightly crisper, slightly brighter, yet still rooted in calm.

Where Kannazuki feels still and spacious, Kinusaragi adds gentle movement – like preparing for the coming winter with a renewed sense of clarity.

Together, they offer a two-part reflection on October: silence and preparation, stillness and subtle transformation.

Continuing the Seasonal Journey

With Kannazuki, the lofi calendar project steps fully into late autumn. The vibrant energy of earlier months fades into a mellow, introspective ambiance. This release ties together seasonal tradition, folklore, and atmospheric sound design – forming a natural bridge toward the colder, quieter months ahead.

Kannazuki and Kinusaragi are available currently on Bandcamp (click on the cover to discover) and will be added to Spotify, YouTube, and all major streaming platforms in early 2026.

Add them to your chill, study, or autumn playlists, and let these tracks soundtrack your October moments.

If you enjoy music made for focus, reflection, and peaceful evenings, Kannazuki may become one of your seasonal favorites.
