About Café Yami
Café Yami was a major breakthrough from many perspectives. It was the first album in 2017 since Raw Disco Unit (2011), literally 6 years later. It was also my first (dedicated) sad chill album where I aimed to put together a set of dark chill beats. Lastly, the first album that was released under the name Latte Chill.
As for the songs, it contains tons of interesting ones: Ancient Village was a tribal beat I composed months before and I just couldn’t find the right place.
On the other hand, Nothingness was the song I did not really prefer back then. Still, if I was to release the album now, I would definitely choose this song as a title/single song because it represents the nihilistic vibes of the release.
Third, I would like to write about Café Yami. The title song was inspired by Hellsing anime – pure bloody darkness and piano. If you have some time, what that anime – worth it. Empty Moment was the track I composed without sampled royalty-free beats which is kind of basic now but back then I used free beats more easily to boost both music production speed as well as my motivation as I could not produce dope beats (maybe even now…?)
Loveless and Last Quarter of the Moon are part of my 2017 monthly challenge, when I released at least a song each month and both were sad enough to get to this chill album either, while Path of the Moon was a song I composed way back in 2011 but I finished it in 2017.

Café Yami mixes
As Café Yami marks my first full LP as Latte Chill as well as the continuation of my solo project, I tend to add the songs to many mixes, including anniversary recaps, such as 13th Anniversary Mix, 15th Anniversary Mix I., and 15th Anniversary Mix II.
Sad chill beats are also part of Sad Moments mix, along with Top 10 Home Office Chill Beats III., and Top 10 Home Office Chill Beats V., helping people’s focus with instrumental ones.
