  • [Single] Still Need

Still Need is a song right from upcoming Cherryland LP featuring 12 Dark Cherry cover beats in instrumental lofi beat genre. It is actually a song we performed live a couple of times so reworking it was quite a fun!

From genre perspective, I would say it is more a breakbeat lofi beat than chill music. It offers mid-tempo with hip hop like rhythm. Can you imagine it? Hit play button below to give it a try and also click on the cover to get to my Bandcamp page. As it is a cover song of my old band, all songs of Cherryland are free to download.

Lastly, I am super happy to add that I have found an old video on YouTube… about us performing the song. Keep in mind that it is a simple handheld video camera recording, nothing extra, but it might brings back the mood Dark Cherry offered around 2010.

Oh and it has Hungarian lyrics. Back in the old days we performed both English and Hungarian songs as well. This is the latter. I guess the lyrics are quite OK for those who understand the language. Thanks for checking!

  • [Single] Stray Cats’ Waltz

Stray Cats' Waltz - Latte Chill

Third single from Cherryland – a Dark Cherry lofi cover compilation.
Stray Cats’ Waltz is a song that was performed many times in 2010.

What can I say about this song. I have so much. As for the title, it was the actual working title of the song (later known as ‘Holdkeringő’ which stands for Moon Waltz in Hungarian).

Kyoki, the original author gave it and I liked this title so much to use it while working on the cover.

The lyrics where written by me. It is vaguely about Romeo and Juliet of Shakespeare. On top of that I even sing some words in archaic way to make it sound old as a song.

This song was recorded in studio and was released on our second studio single as a B-side song. We performed it in several towns and on several gigs despite its classical vibe.

Fun fact maybe that the drums are mixing rhythm at the end between 3/4 and 4/4 if I recall it well. It took weeks for Cay to practice so that he can play the changes while listening to the 4/4 metronome that helps him keeping the tempo.

  • [Single] Lie

    Lie Dark Cherry cover

Lie is a lofi cover song of my old band, Dark Cherry. We performed it between 2008 and 2011 several times on stage.

I shot the cover photo in Venice many years before. I think in a way it offers a good vibe, matching the song. But give it a spin and let me know.

As it is an old cover song, it is fully free, enjoy it by clicking on the cover and grabbing the song. Or check the embed block below~

The song was originally composed by Kyoki, lyrics by OB (aka Latte Chill – that would be me~). I decided to rework it after 13 years in breakbeat style~

It was recorded by the end of 2010 in our home town Szeged. We had many gigs featuring this song. I know the quality is not the best but my give a hint of what we where like.
