About Desired Decade I.
Desired Decade I. is the first best of album that sums up over 10 years of Latte Chill beats. It features a total 6 albums and further EPs as part of the selection. It offers 2 sides. First is Desired Decade I. with the electro chill-out songs. Whereas Desired Decade II. features the chill-out songs that are more acoustic.
This release is different from the rest offering more upbeat songs over the second part. It starts off already with ‘the World of Hora’, which was inspired by a darkwave artist with the same name. I also put here songs such as ‘inverze fata morgana’ and ‘disco craze’ both offering dance beats. Of course I was able to bring some experimental songs as well, like ‘Dark Sorrow’ or ‘Maybe ‘no’ for STORM’.
Over the 10 years of Latte Chill, I composed lots of weird beats. Some worth to mention. I also mixed oriental chill-out vibe with electronic base. As an example I added ‘Timeless Sunshine’ where koto and shamisen brings the Far East vibe but 4/4 disco kicks turns the feeling completely around. Chip is another song that reminiscences on Akihabara with 8-bit notes. Yet it is more a Mega Man OST than a regular chill-out beat. Overall I can state that this compilation album is closer to my pad beats. The rare and unique songs among the lo-fi vibe beats.
The cover features Crete morning. Desired Decade I. and II. put together offers a panorama shot. Bring them next to each other and you will see what I saw. I remember we travelled to Bali bay (North-Crete) and had a lovely apartment. I mean it offered everything you need. A comfy bed, place to chill and of course the sea. What else we need?
