  • Oldies #1: The Ultimate 2-Hour Vinyl Lo-fi Mix for Deep Focus and Relaxation

    Click and enjoy the mix.

If you’ve been following the journey of Latte Chill, you know that the soul of my music lies. I refer to lofi and sometimes vinyl vibes – like a record and the warmth of a steady beat. It’s been a minute since my last long-form project, but I am thrilled to introduce Oldies #1. A two-hour, soothing vinyl vibe lo-fi mix specifically remastered to help you drift, study, or create.

    Why the “Vinyl Vibe” Matters

In a world of overly polished digital audio, there is something inherently human about the imperfections of vinyl. For this mix, I didn’t just compile tracks; I focused on a vinyl-ish remastering process. By emphasizing mid-range warmth and subtle surface noise, these beats to study to provide a nostalgic atmosphere that reduces “listener fatigue,” making it the perfect companion for long sessions at your desk.

What to Expect from Oldies #1

This isn’t just another lo-fi loop. This two-hour journey is a curated selection of chillhop beats and downtempo melodies designed to act as a sonic backdrop for your life.

    • Soothing Soundscapes: Every track has been hand-picked to ensure a consistent, calming flow.
    • Remastered Quality: Experience “beats to come” in a brand-new light, with enhanced textures that mimic the classic analog sound.
    • Extended Playtime: At 120 minutes, you can hit play and stay in the zone without worrying about changing the playlist.

    The Perfect Backdrop for Productivity

Whether you are searching for background music for coding, a relaxing lo-fi mix for sleep, or simply a way to decompress after a long day, Oldies #1 hits the mark. As an artist, my goal with Latte Chill has always been to provide a space where the listener can feel “at home” within the music. This mix is a return to those roots – raw, melodic, and deeply soothing.

  • [Single] Shiwasu

    shiwasu single Latte Chill

As my last for 2025, it will be titled Shiwasu. In Japan’s traditional calendar, Shiwasu (師走) refers to December as the “Busy Month.” Traditionally, even monks and teachers were said to run through the streets as the year rushed toward its end. Despite this sense of movement, December also carries a deep, reflective stillness – a moment to look back before starting anew.

My new lofi single tries to capture this contrast: quiet motion, inner restlessness, and the calm that follows a long year.

Crafting Shiwasu with the PO-33 KO

Produced with the PO-33 KO, the song blends soft melodies, muted beats, and cold yet comforting textures. The sound design balances gentle momentum with spacious pauses, reflecting December’s dual nature – busy days and silent nights.

The track is designed for late evenings, end-of-year reflections, and moments when time feels both fast and suspended.

    The B-Side: Yuutsu na

Accompanying the main single is the B-side Yuutsu na (憂鬱な), meaning “melancholic.” The track leans deeper into introspection, embracing slower tempos, minimal elements, and a heavier emotional tone.

Where Shiwasu reflects motion and closure, Yuutsu na explores the quiet melancholy often felt at the end of the year – not sadness, but thoughtful stillness and emotional depth.

Together, the two tracks form a contemplative closing chapter to the seasonal journey.

    Completing the Seasonal Cycle

With Shiwasu, the lofi calendar project (aka Toshi) reaches its conclusion. From the blossoms of Uzuki to December’s reflective calm, each release has traced the changing seasons through sound, tradition, and atmosphere.

This final entry brings resolution – a pause before the cycle begins again.

  • [Single] Shimotsuki

    shimotsuki latte chill po-33

In Japan’s traditional calendar, the eleventh month is Shimotsuki (霜月) marking November as the “Frost Month.” As the season settles into its coldest transition, morning frost appears, nights grow sharper, and the world quiets down. My new lofi single, Shimotsuki, reflects this shift with chilled textures, soft tones, and a focus on the calm and clarity of early winter spiced with melancholy.

Following Kannazuki, Nagatsuki, and the earlier seasonal releases, Shimotsuki continues the journey into the colder half of the year. It is the time defined by stillness, introspection, and subtle beauty.

    Made with the PO-33 KO

Built using the PO-33 KO, Shimotsuki features cool pads, delicate keys, and minimal beats. The sound palette is intentionally frosty yet slightly melancholic – like stepping outside at night and seeing breath rise into the air.

The melodies are slow, spacious, and slightly nostalgic, creating a sonic environment perfect for quiet evenings, studying, or reflecting as the first signs of winter settle in.

    The B-Side: Gaman

The release includes a B-side titled Gaman (我慢) – a concept centered on endurance, patience, and quiet perseverance. The track is more restrained and inward than the main single. This song uses sparse elements and a gentle pulse to create a meditative, almost stoic atmosphere.

Where Shimotsuki represents the natural shift toward frost and cold, Gaman symbolizes the inner strength people carry into winter – steady, understated, and resilient.

Together, they form a subtle exploration of November: a balance between nature’s chill and human perseverance.

    Continuing the Seasonal Journey

With Shimotsuki, the lofi calendar project enters the threshold of winter. This release blends tradition, seasonal meaning, and atmospheric lofi textures to reflect the quiet beauty of late autumn.

It’s the perfect moment in the series for slowing down, appreciating stillness. It is also making the listener prepare for the final month of the cycle.

If you’re drawn to chilled, atmospheric lofi with a touch of winter mood, this single will fit right in – click on the cover to discover it on my Bandcamp page.
