About Tanabata
To me, Tanabata is the perfect dreamy chill pop beats EP. It has lots of oriental influence and reverb. As a result, it offers somewhat of a floating ambiance in a good way. I mean not the IT way. Fun fact: this EP was composed over a night. I mean all 5 songs. I used the same sample setup and mixing settings and really wanted to compose something new and fresh – this is what happened.
About the songs
I believe Journey offers you the start of a story as if we are to go far away. Almost like a drone chill song with acoustic beats. Followed by Sensu, an easygoing bass-based dreamy pop-beat song with true chill and happy vibes. The third one is Odori which offers a real oriental mood on this EP. It shows the listener the true night vibe of Tanabata festivals with all the love and fireworks. Of course only in mind and in your dreams. If you listen to these songs open minded and focus on what they are to tell you. The fourth song is Lullaby. It lets you chill down. Lastly, when you are about to fall asleep and dream about the legend of Moon Rabbit. A complete story for you from Latte Chill.
