About Tokyo19
Little 4-song-long oriental chill beats inspired by a trip to Tokyo in 2019. I loved Asian culture as a kid because it is pretty different from the European one. It encouraged me to study Japanese and to read lots of …mangas. Well, other books as well!
The point is that after awhile I wished to see it in action. What is Japan like? At first I believed to have the chance and travel there during the University. But nah. Not possible. Later on I wished to travel on my own. But in order to do so, I needed money. So I worked on this project for a couple of years. At the end we travelled there with my wife spending a wonderful 9 days in the capital.
Please find our 2 hour long recap of the travel. We enjoyed it pretty much as Tokyo is having many different faces. Almost every district has its own story and vibe. Sometimes I feel like Tokyo19 is not able to fully show you all the feelings I had during this trip. Ancient gardens, nature and little fountains across the city. On the other hand neon lights in the night and sub-cult stuff everywhere!
If you have more time and interest, head to the uncut version of the trip. During the lock down in 2020 I reworked all the raw videos and put together a mega long playlist with Tokyo videos and photos.
