About Y
Y was originally my first instrumental release during my Erasmus trip to Germany in 2009. I completed 2 and a half album back then in 3 months. As a result I lived one of the most active months in my solo music career.
And why? Because I had no internet at home. No jokes! As a result of that, I had much more free time.
I consider Y a mix of genres. I mean it features some chill beats like Being Ripped Slowly Apart and Boredom. Or even SlowMotion could be added to the list.
On the other hand Every Mornings’ Asia is more an upbeat song. It is the result of listening to diverse genres. Every Mornings’ Asia is heavily inspired by Asian music elements and instruments. I used vollenharp with reverb to create that dreamy vibe. It was fun to put it as the main instrument of the song.
Lastly Life, which could be a sad chill beat. A song inspired by the famous X-Files. Beats such as Agony and Darker are experimental ones. I was heavily influenced by Schwarz Stein, Aural Vampire and other darkwave artists. At the end no wonder I added some darker beats to this album.
I produced the release on FL Studio using basic instruments and beats only. As I had no internet back then. I could only use the installed ones. Consequently I had to learn to bring out the maximum from the basics. That was such an experience. I realised it years later.

Chill Mixtery is a new series I start because I feel like looking back time-to-time. I express this feeling in the upcoming Chill Mixtery mixes as well.
In the first episode I listed songs from my first 5 albums. All were released mainly between 2007-2010. I built this chill mix live for you because I wished to add some randomness to the mix.
