  • [Single] Yozakura

    Yozakura single is a chill vibe, sakura-inspired beat that marks the beginning of the cherry blossom season and, in a way, the rebirth of nature. Originally, the single was released as part of Sakura Sketches 2.

    The single, as the cover suggests, offers a laid-back beat. A bit of warmth, sunlight is hidden among the pads and chords.

    Hit play to enjoy the spring vibe. The song is free to listen to on YouTube as well as on my Bandcamp page (click on the cover). So, any listeners are more than welcome. Let us all embrace the sun and spring. The title ‘Yozakura’ itself refers to nighttime cherry blossom watching. This is why my cover features a sunset vibe photo. In Europe, we do not really have lantern-lit cherry trees; therefore, a night photo may not have brought that warm vibe we all feel these days.

    As for the song itself, I used Koala Sampler and some dope samples. I added my own melodies, textures, and layered them in a way that brings us the mood.

    Sakura Sketches 2

    Spring is finally here, so I am back on track with my next batch: the Sakura Sketches 2. Aiming to offer warm vibes, like the spring wind. Still slightly cold, but already hints the arrival of summer. Flowers revive, buds everywhere.

    The EP consists of 5 new beats, all inspired by the cherry blossom coming up (or already happening, like in certain parts of Japan). Why is this topic so close to my heart? Maybe because I first travelled to Japan during the sakura season. It was an amazing trip. And as a result, I cannot stop waiting for this part of the year over and over again.

    Last year, I featured the first Sakura Sketches, this year, I might release more.

    Similar to the first EP, I used Koala Sampler as the only tool to sketch my beats. I only used Ableton Live to tweak a bit of EQ and offer the same volume across the beats. Naturally, they are imperfect beats, so is the aim of this line. I worked on most beats on the go, in my free time, using samples I had on my phone and adding my beats, percussions and melodies. I believe on the go lofi is starting to become part of Latte Chill vibe. Making beats inspired by the World around us offers a better vibe than staying in, especially now. I mean weather is getting warmer, way to go outside.

    Toshi B-Sides

    After the release of Toshi earlier this year, it is high time to give the well-deserved spotlight to Toshi B-Sides. It contains 9 songs, all were featuring the singles throughout the year 2025. Despite the “b-side”, some songs were to spice the monthly singles, giving another and new aspect to the feeling I wish to convey to you. All songs were produced on PO-33 KO.

    Each song of the compilation EP was produced along with the main songs on the same gadget with the same sound samples. As a result, they are offering a matching vibe. And as a result, honestly, I decided to take a break to PO-33 KO. I am feeling like I have reached a limit with it and need to put it in my drawer for a while. I will return to it again once I have new ideas.

    On the flip side, I can already spoil you a bit: more EPs coming this year. I am cooking beats with Koala Sampler again. And well, I might be able to wrap up some ideas with PO-128, either. So, enjoy EP to the fullest and see you next time with something different, but still either chillhop or lofi.
