  • [Single] Cianwood City

    cianwood chiptune single

Last single of Soul Silver chiptune LP, Cianwood City offers a happy, yet laid back vibe, as expected from a song close to the end.

If I wish to be short on this release: I like this song. As a proof, scroll below and see how many times I used it in my vlog videos.

It is sort of happy, but now overly. This song is a bit upbeat, but still easily fits any chill genres. It is chiptune but not overly electronic. Kind of a golden median in many aspects.

The single also features the demo version of Olivine, the first song I composed for Soul Silver album. Enjoy the beats below and download the single for free by clicking on the cover on top.

Enjoy a lovely trip to Vienna with a day of walk and full of sightseeing. I enjoy making videos like this. I hope you will get a completely different view of the city with the help of Cianwood city single

Enjoy Tokyo vibe at Kanda Shrine. Look at the little kids learning to pray and the shrine and don’t forget to click on the link above to learn and find (much) more Tokyo vlog videos.

Lastly, enjoy the same song with my caps in Sardinia. An Italian gem on the Mediterranean Sea. Ignore my shaky hand, we were out on the sea with a small boat enjoying the vast blue vibe and depth of the sea.

  • [Single] Ecruteak City

    ecruteak chiptune single

Melancholy town where we never smile? Could be the best quote for Ecruteak City, an oriental, yet bittersweet place of Soul Silver.

Hit play button and let’s deep dive a bit in this single. The place is heavily inspired by Japanese architecture. Old towers, kimono dancers, kabuki theatre. Essentially a gym with… ghost type pokémons. What is it if not a mystical aura of the game. Let alone the legendary encounter. But let me now spoiler it. Maybe some youngsters are to play the game later. Worth, honestly!

So, when I started working on this beat, I was already sure to imitate a bit the sound of koto. Yet, as it was a chiptune album, how?

I looked for old Game Boy games, looking for Far East vibe sounds I could record and rework. It took some time and at the end as the song was in minor, I believe the result is a bit eerie. Don’t you agree?

As a b-side song, I added Jazzy Big Ben, based on Big Ben Jazz. Ann old song from Chinese Restaurant. Enjoy both beats for free through the cover above. Click and check my Bandcamp page. Also, feel free to download more free singles.

  • [Single] Goldenrod City

Rolling forward with Soul Silver (2018) singles, this time let me explore Goldenrod City, an urban area with lights and vibe.

Hit play button below to enjoy the song and scroll to read more.

Goldenrod City was inspired by an imaginary place of Silver game. A huge city with radio tower and full of lights. A lively place, where you as a kid has to spend quite a time exploring the area to find everything that’s worth talking about. Of course it features a gym (quite a difficult one) and some other places.

Let me not deep dive this area for now. On the other hand, what makes it special? This is the most upbeat song from Soul Silver. Given the vibe, I wished to make it different, hence increased the tempo a bit. Also added some lively arpeggios making the vibe way different than Olivine.

Misc information to the end. I added a rework on an old beat as a single b-side song. Chinese Oolong Tea was originally covered on Chinese Restaurant. That EP marks my return to music as a hobby artist. Check it out through the link.

What a bargain right? Especially for free. But where to find? Click on the cover on top.
