  • [Single] Walking Stick

    Walking Stick

Click on the cover to get Walking Stick free or listen to the song below. Walking Stick is my latest true lo-fi chill-out bit produced on PO-33 KO. I used stock notes only both for the beats and the melodies. My aim was to limit myself a bit to focus more on music production. This was my way to learn beat making on the famous Pocket Operator. I mean it is only a budget (the most budget) sampler on the market. On the other hand easily fits your pocket. You can bring it with yourself anywhere offering a more chillful way of music production.

I started using it last year releasing my first EP ‘Stock Stories‘. After a year’s time I learnt to master lo-fi beats better, hence I remastered the original EP. On the other hand I decided to add something new as well. This is how Stock Stories Extended was born. I added 4 new lo-fi beats to the existing songs. One of them is Walking Stick of course. I released it a couple of weeks before in January. I will also re-release Wabi-Sabi with the same setup before launching my brand new lo-fi album, Travellers.

Let me share some more information about it later. For now enjoy the video I just uploaded.

  • [Single] Cute Melody

Cute Melody single cover from Tokyo, Asakusa

Cute Melody is a new single from Stock Stories Extended EP released a couple of days before. Listen to the song above. A little lo-fi melody composed on my Pocket Operator 33 KO.

Cute Melody and Stock Stories Extended EP

Stock Stories was originally released in 2021. A simple lo-fi EP and as its name suggest: I only used stock notes during the production. When I purchased my PO-33 KO, I literally had no idea how to use it. As a result I started jamming on it. I did not rush to produce beats with it. At first I wanted to understand how does it work. At the end I put together the best beats and released Stock Stories.

Months later I realised that Stock Stories is pretty quiet compare to the rest of Latte Chill lo-fi releases. Therefore I had difficulties to use them on mixes. I decided to remaster them after a year.

On the other hand I wish to add something extra: 4 new songs. Actually I doubled Stock Stories. This is where Cute Melody came to the picture. On the of the first melodies I produced for the remaster. Also I worked on these new beats to make the mix better. It is not just the volume that has been aligned but I built a different rack as well.

Fun fact: I used the same photo for Stock Stories EP and Stock Stories Extended EP. I am not intending to deceive anyone. Even on my website the extended edition got an extra paragraph and that is it.

Fun fact 2: the photo of Cute Melody on the other hand was shot in Tokyo. It was back in 2019. I found that photo dope and therefore used it as a cover. I took it in Asakusa by the famous gate you probably saw on many photos.

Fun Fact 3: the song is free. Click on the cover to get Cute Melody.

  • [Single] Rust Borough

Rust Borough is the last single from Sapphire album. Click on the cover and grab it for free.
The song is a lo-fi beat but the upbeat type of. Fully composed with PO-33 KO. A little pocket sampler released by Teenage Engineering. It was composed during my trip to Lefkada if I recall it well. Therefore pretty minimalist as I did not use DAW or even Koala Sampler.

The cover of Rust Borough on the other hand features a photo from my trip to Tokyo. It was in 2019. We shot many photos randomly with my wife. Some turned out to be perfect cover materials for my releases. I edited it with Snapseed and used Adobe smartphone apps either. I mean for the titling and adding some texts.

As for the song: Rust Borough is inspired by a Pokémon game. You may guess which. I replayed it after like 10+ years. As a result I started working on some beats and later released them. Sapphire is like the first part of a duo album. More to come in 2022 I promise. Keep following, not to miss what happens after Rust Borough.
