About Sapphire
Sapphire is a 30-minute-long bittersweet but warm set of chill-out beats. I produced the songs mainly on a Pocket Operator 33 KO.
This chill study music album was heavily influenced by Pokémon Sapphire game. I composed most beats during the game play. I was inspired by entering different locations and cities of Hoenn. Therefore the change of vibe might be sudden as it was during the game play as well.
I recorded my own sound notes to my PO-33 KO and resampled them based on my needs. All songs were recorded with Tascam DR-05x. Read more about my recording process here.
Sapphire, music production and gaming
I compose chill music round the clock. It is a hobby of mine to ease my mind. Sometimes I end up composing calming music. In other cases I am more into study music and chill background production (and lofi recently). As a chill-out fan I know many people, who love this genre. As a result I am very cautious during the production and titling. I make sure to be consistent with mastering. I also intend to learning new techniques to provide my listeners better experience.
Generally, I create music based on topics so I can connect the songs together based on a mutual theme. In this case: Pokémon Sapphire game. A game that was originally released in 2002 on Game Boy Advance. As I respect Pokémon and Nintendo. I altered all names not to infringe any copyrights. My aim is to show my respect and appreciation toward a game I loved as a child. And I still love as an adult. I infused this love with my hobby and created the lofi chill-out beats.
Sapphire and Ruby
After finishing Sapphire, I started working on the next album inspired by the same game. Originally Sapphire and Ruby were released in pair. The idea was implemented to my concept in the following way. I also split Hoenn and the game play into two. And decided to create two albums. On the other hand, I will publish Ruby once I finished the game. I am still in the middle. But soon more beats to come.
To enjoy the vibe of the game, I would suggest to listen the two albums together. Both will be around 30 minutes and come with free singles.

Lo-fi chill-out mixes with Sapphire beats
Winter Mix for 2022 is a chill-out and lo-fi beats compilation including many Latte Chill songs from last year. I intended to make it a bit sad, more sad chill than usual. After all it is pretty much the middle of winter.
You are to listen to an hour long background music (maybe some vocal chops, but rarely) with true warmth of lo-fi, vinyl aura and quality chill beats. No ads in-between, hopefully a perfect set matching your mood.

Spring Nite Beats Mix in 2020 was my first DJ on our balcony 2 years before. Now as an anniversary I am testing something completely new out there. It is my first attempt to DJ on Koala Sampler. Keep in mind that this mix is an experimental van with some lo-fi house and electro beats.

Chill Mixtery #7 featuring Sapphire
Chill Mixtery #7 is out with 26 songs. More than an hour long lo-fi mix featuring albums from 2021 and 2022. This mix marks the start of PO-33 KO. A new instrument I bought in the early 2021 and used as a primary instrument in case of my recent albums.

This hefty mix features the following albums: Wabi-Sabi. An Asian oriental chill-out album and the first full album produced with PO-33. It was followed by Ultra Moon. The first recap of Moon album: nature chill-out in lo-fi. More simple. Easier to listen. And again, composed on PO-33. I was using these times (2021 summer) to master that pocket sampler. The second half was titled Ultra Sun. Similarly to Ultra Moon, the release featured tons of new songs inspired by the Pokémon game I was playing on. The forth release is titled Sapphire. Inspired by a video game as well, the most songs on the other hand were composed during my holiday in Lefkada. No DAWs or samples, only my PO-33 KO and one set of sounds. I enjoyed this way of creative work. Finally, Travellers. One of my biggest lo-fi projects in the past years.
