  • [Single] Melemele Sea

Melemele Sea is the latest lofi chill beat. It was fully recorded on PO-33 KO (see the video below). I mastered it on Ableton later along with the other tracks.

    Melemele Sea

Minimal, but I hope it’s an entertaining video on how I am producing beats like Melemele Sea. Even though you see one video at the end, it usually takes me hours to have the perfect record I’m looking for.

Usually, I start sketching and gradually get to either a main melody progression or the drums. Once it is set, I start building on them, form the patterns, and then … bam. I hope to have a finished concept. That is when I started recording. Usually, I mess up the first ones.

Anyway, this song is particularly close to me. I love that arp in the background. I believe it really offers such a floating vibe, you may encounter if you are sailing. It was a bit inspired by some past holidays. If we visit the sea with my wife, I usually go on ship trips. Helps me learn more about the island than any other form of touring.

    Where to find the song?

It’s a new single from the upcoming album Ultra Moon. So click on the link and learn the story of my album. I’m happy if you listen to the song on stream platforms. That means I get some royalty. And these few cents help me create more music.

  • [Single] Seventh Heaven

Seventh Heaven is going to be the last single song before Wabi-Sabi album. Check the song for below and click on the cover to get it for free.

    About Seventh Heaven

A lo-fi song fully produced on my PO-33 KO pocket sampler. In fact it was the first song I have produced for Wabi-Sabi LP if I recall well. It is a very simple beat offering a soothing vibe with true vinyl aura. I worked a lot on post-production (I mean mastering) to keep that warm vibe I intend to offer to the listener.

Even though this song was recorded somewhere in May I guess, rest of the album was finished well later between June and July. I know it may sound fast, but in general this was my first full album on the new instrument. It means I focused a lot on the production. I wanted to master the instrument and therefore produced lots of beats on the go.

    Videos with this song

Had quite a few during the summer. Majority of them were kept simple. Like our hedgehog in the garden. Sorry for that. The focus is on the music. But time to time I love experimenting with plain videos.

  • [Single] Shogun’s Room

    Shogun's room

New lo-fi single: Shogun’s Room is it. The title song was inspired by oriental Japanese vibe featuring lo-fi sounds, produced on PO-33 KO!

Shogun’s Room is part of Wabi-Sabi album, my first LP produced on my latest instrument. The album is set to express the imperfection of melodies and sound quality that is often noticeable if you listen to a vinyl release. A lo-fi tool offers such warmth we get used to, while listening to old music.

    Check Shogun’s Room live

I recorded the song live as well as the process. Funnily, the record itself was dark as well. I guess the mood influenced the results. I mean it must have been a darker, cloudy day and I ended up producing a darker song. Which is rare on Wabi-Sabi album to be honest.

Lastly, fun fact about the cover: it is an own photo. I shot it in a Japanese garden in autumn. Pretty much matching the vibe I wished to share with you.
