  • [Single] Urakara

    latte chill urakara

Urakara, or ura kara refers to “from the heart”, from the soul. It might be difficult to understand its connection to Sakura Sketches 3. From the heart means an appreciation, a deep connection to the fleeting beauty. As such, the cherry blossom, which marks the rebirth of nature, on the other hand, we all have very limited time to enjoy it. In Vienna this year (2026), our cherry blossom was indeed a fleeting moment. I had the joy of walking under the petals on a sunny Thursday, yet by the next day, we had rain, and then later snowfall. The wind stripped all the trees in the next 5 days, and ultimately, that fleeting moment of walking was our joy of the sakura season for this year.

The cover photo was taken during that walk in Stadtpark. A fleeting beauty we encountered only once this year, and looking forward to the next one. Hoping to have more time next year. As always, click on the cover to find the single on my Bandcamp page. Scroll there as well and look for cherry images. Very likely, they will offer a similar vibe.

Lastly, give a spin to Urakara below. Thanks for listening to my beats.

  • [Single] Ukiyo

    latte chill ukiyo

Ukiyo, the single of Sakura Sketches 2, represents the joy of the moment. The title itself means “floating world”, referring to a Japanese philosophy highlighting the importance of the moment. The moment you are in right now. This very moment that is about to fleet away. It is your choice to be present or miss it forever. We could say “carpe diem”, as in the European literature meaning something similar: live for today. Live for the moment.

I believe in a way, cherry blossom represents a moment of ukiyo. While walking under the cherry trees, enjoying the petals dancing around you in the gentle breeze. A moment you enjoy being there and may never have the same way again. Also, it is the moment we are to forget all our troubles and really enjoy that particular walk. It could be the same while sitting outside, sipping your fave coffee on a sunny day. No rush. No hassle. Pure joy of the drink. I hope Ukiyo single gives you that moment. Give it a spin by clicking on the song below. If you liked it, you may download it through the cover on top (click on the cover image). As always, thanks for listening to my beats.

  • Oldies #3: Capturing Nostalgia with the Latest 2-Hour Lo-fi Vinyl Mix

There is a specific kind of magic found in a dusty crate of records. I refer to the kind of feeling that stops time. With the release of Oldies #3, I’m continuing my journey through the Latte Chill archives. And again, bringing you another 2-hour soothing lo-fi mix that leans heavily into the nostalgic, soul-searching side of instrumental hip-hop.

The Art of the “Oldies” Remaster

For this third installment, I wanted to lean into the “Oldies” title by highlighting the vintage textures of the tracks. These are remastered beats to come, polished specifically to emphasise the warmth of 12-bit sampling and the soft hiss of a needle on a groove.

In Oldies #3, the focus shifts toward:

    • Melodic Storytelling: Using piano loops and soft brass and other acoustic instruments to create an emotional “story” without words.
    • Tactile Sound Design: Enhanced vinyl crackle, sound quality and ambient noise to make you feel like you’re sitting right in the studio.
    • Seamless Transitions: Two hours of non-stop chillhop curated to maintain a consistent headspace from start to finish.

A Soundtrack for the Modern Thinker

In the age of distraction, Oldies #3 is designed to be a “focus sanctuary.” If you are a writer, a student, or a digital artist, you know that the right background music for concentration can make or break a session. This mix provides a steady, rhythmic pulse that mimics a heartbeat, lowering stress levels and allowing your mind to enter a “flow state.”

    Why “Vinyl-Ish” Beats Work

The human brain craves organic patterns. By using a vinyl-ish remastering style, I’ve smoothed out the harsh digital peaks that often cause ear fatigue. The result is a soothing vinyl vibe that you can listen to for the full two hours on repeat without feeling overwhelmed. It’s the ultimate downtempo lo-fi playlist for those who appreciate the craft of sampling.

Experience the Sound of Latte Chill

Oldies #3 is more than just a playlist; it’s an invitation to slow down. Whether you’re winding down for the night or gearing up for a midnight project, let these remastered beats be your guide.
