  • [Single] Fly Poison

Fly Poison Dark Cherry cover single by Latte Chill

New single: Fly Poison. An old Dark Cherry song remake we performed on stage from 2008 to 2011. One of the first songs we put together with the team members including Jigsaw and Kyoki. Later fine-tuned by Cay and Kai. Almost had it on every single gig.

I enjoyed those times and as a reminiscence I decided to rework it. It ended up being a partially chiptune video game-ish. On the other hand lo-fi break beat like song.

Click on the player to listen to the song. If you enjoyed Fly Poison, feel free to download it via my Bandcamp page. I also released a couple of other old Dark Cherry songs such as Memoire.

I hope to compile an album soon with these cover songs. Though I have to add I have tons of projects right now. Some includes lo-fi beats, new ones. I am also working on some T21CB beats – similar to this project. Furthermore I just released Rock 128, a chiptune album. Long story short, much on my plate but I wish to give you these songs one after another.

    Original version of Fly Poison

I thought I am posting you the original version of the song. Keep in mind that it was recorded with home tools only, therefore the sound quality is so-so. Same goes for the video. It was recorded with an old compact camera somewhere in 2009 or 2010.

  • [Single] Pewter

    pewter single

Pewter is part of Leaf Green nature chill album saga, where I sampled hangpan (or hang) samples to create a minor toned sad chill ambience. It kind of offers a unique and bittersweet vibe. Maybe not that sad chill. Tell me! I am curious.

    About Pewter

The chill beat was inspired by the Pewter City or by Japanese name: Nibi City. This place is considered to be a small oasis, where you fight for the Boulder badge, the first badge in the game – also getting ready for a very long journey through the caves of Cerulean. Remember those times? If so, you also played with the early Pokémon games. A lovely era of Nintendo and in general handheld consoles.

I wished to present this melancholy feeling, being tired after the battle but still looking forward to the rocks and mountains and preparing for a long journey.

What else I can say about this song?

As mentioned many times before: it is by no way affiliated to Pokémon official soundtracks, nor to Nintendo corp. No copyright infringement is intended. I simply replay my childhood’s fave games as a retro gamer, reliving my young age a bit and sample some songs based on the cities/areas ambience.

I also added Pewter to Dozens later, my twelve years anniversary compilation album. Enjoy Pewter with authentic Tokyo night scenery. A cover I shot in 2019 during my Japan trip. Learn more about it here.

I also featured Pewter on my mixes. See one instance below. I hope you like nature chill mixes, you may find tons on this website.

  • [Single] Beverly Rookie in China

Click on the cover to grab this song for free! Or listen to Beverly Rookie in China single below. A guitar chill beats inspired by the ’80es, collabed with Mr. Adamistique.

The song ended up being the first beat of Zeitgeist Guitarist. It is one of my EPs released in 2019. What makes it special among the others: this EP has the most collaboration songs so far for Latte Chill project. 5 songs out of 6 are collaborations with guitarists. I work togeher with Mr. Adamistique and Hegedűs Viktor (Elvi Kérdés) to offer some focus music.

The preparations took place in 2018 and 2019 and was finally released in 2019.

Fun fact: I have never been to China, but travelled to Tokyo (Japan). So, I used that photo – actually one of the first ones I took when I arrived. No harm intended. I thought it is more accurate than posting a free photo from somewhere. And lastly, it is my photo at least. As I live in Europe, I wished to offer and create a cover that is much closer.

By the way, don’t you think this song is a bit like Beverly Hills Cop?
