Travellers B-Sides

About Travellers B-Sides

Travellers B-sides is a unique compilation EP that followed Travellers album. While I went pages long on the story of Travellers as a milestone for Latte Chill project. I cannot ask you to click on that and read it as this lo-fi EP connects to Travellers in many aspects.

First of all the title. I guess this was the lamest part. But else? Travellers was a lo-fi album I was working on for years, starting the project in 2019. While looking for the right way I created many remakes and self covers of previous beats. Some will be covered on B-Sides #3 (spoiler, yet to announce) – these are the songs that were produced with Ableton, featured on singles like Karma Rumba, Latte Art and Die with Honor. As these lo-fi covers were more dynamic, I decided to put them on a different compilation album. So let me cover more about the songs on this EP and why are they more close to the actual Travellers album?

PO-33 KO changed the game

I restarted Travellers project in 2021 after purchasing a PO-33. I decided to complete the album using the pocket sampler only. At the end I believe I made the right decision, but that also meant a tabula rasa in the middle of the project, and finishing songs on a completely new instrument I cannot handle 100%. To overcome this challenge, I started playing old Latte Chill beats I love on PO-33. In order to learn the instrument, I guess it was the right way. I played old fave songs such as Faro Solitaro or Midnight Melody.

At the end, the better ones became single songs for Travellers albums being part of the journey. On the other hand as these singles have a new song either (On the Road), I thought they deserve a different compilation EP. Especially as they sound different to the single b-sides I have recently released. So I gave them some spotlight.

And speaking of spotlight, here comes On the Road on PO-33 KO:

I hope you enjoy my live record on PO-33 KO. This is how all Travellers B-Sides songs were recorded. Crazy right? Making a full release with a pocket tool, almost looking like a calculator. Getting interested? Scroll a bit more to listen to the complete lo-fi EP.

One more lo-fi song recorded live. This is Faro Solitaro. Probably the first song from Travellers B-Sides EP recorded on PO-33 KO last year.

Click on any of the time markers to open YouTube on a new window and start the music. Personally, I take it very serious not to have any ads. Unless YouTube ads one-sided ads, I am not adding any. I hope you like my decision. If you can, please kindly listen to my beats on Spotify, Apple Music or any stream platforms. I work hard to make it available on these platforms with the help of Distrokid. As a result literally all listens outside YouTube gives me cents.
