Why Urban Lo-fi?
Urban Lo-fi is an EP that was inspired by the places I have been to. Cities where I spent some days. Towns, where I took photos.
The aim of this EP is to share memories with you.
Urban Lo-fi might be a start of something new. More upbeat songs among my chill beats.
Time to time I release something eclectic or experimental to shake myself up. Sometimes I need a break from chill so later I can return refreshed. From the past I could mention Raw Disco Unit, where I composed songs in electro, minimal disco genres. Another example would be Soul Silver and ReMirakels. Chiptune, 8-bit looped melodies sampled from my old Game Boys. I could also highlight Akira. A legendary anime based electro punk EP I released back in 2019. 2 years passed since I had such an urge to create something new, so here I go!
Genre: lofi, urban lofi, lofi house
Urban lo-fi or Urban Lofi is kind of a concept I feel part of Latte Chill project. As an opposite of nature chill, where I emphasise on better sound quality and use acoustic instruments. Lofi itself could never be high-end in terms of sound quality. In addition to more cracks and dusts this genre offers warm beats generally.
However, sometimes we need to be upbeat to express the feelings, such as the liveliness of the cities. This is how my way of lofi house was born. A new way to sketch instrumental songs as part of Latte Chill beats.
My favourite songs from Urban Lo-fi
First two songs are the most loved ones. I composed the first beat on PO-33 in my free time during a trip… And fell in love with the tempo. Later I gave the name Budapest Gallop. After all this is the city I live in since 2012.
Berlin house was born when I had my concept ready in my head: I wish to release a minimal lofi house EP as an experiment.

Spring Nite Beats Mix in 2020 was my first DJ on our balcony 2 years before. Now as an anniversary I am testing something completely new out there. It is my first attempt to DJ on Koala Sampler. Keep in mind that this mix is an experimental van with some lo-fi house and electro beats.
