  • [Compilation] B-Sides #3

    b-sides #3 latte chill

Click on the cover to read more about B-Sides #3 compilation album with lo-fi and chill-out beats spiced with nature chill and chiptune songs.

B-Sides #3 offers an hour of beats no break. I released many albums and EPs through 2021 and the early months of 2022. Many of them were under production for years. As a result I ended up having many b-side beats. I mean songs that are OK and ready, yet they did not fit my albums and EPs. This particular compilation album features 19 songs from more than 6 different releases. In fact the story of this album goes back to 2019, when I started working on Travellers album.

If you wish to listen to the album, check the Spotify link above embed or look for my video on my YouTube page. In case you wish to download the songs. Almost all of them costs nothing or 1€. In order to find them, click on the cover. The main page of B-Sides #3 features every release in touch with the compilation album.

  • [Single] Fly Poison

Fly Poison Dark Cherry cover single by Latte Chill

New single: Fly Poison. An old Dark Cherry song remake we performed on stage from 2008 to 2011. One of the first songs we put together with the team members including Jigsaw and Kyoki. Later fine-tuned by Cay and Kai. Almost had it on every single gig.

I enjoyed those times and as a reminiscence I decided to rework it. It ended up being a partially chiptune video game-ish. On the other hand lo-fi break beat like song.

Click on the player to listen to the song. If you enjoyed Fly Poison, feel free to download it via my Bandcamp page. I also released a couple of other old Dark Cherry songs such as Memoire.

I hope to compile an album soon with these cover songs. Though I have to add I have tons of projects right now. Some includes lo-fi beats, new ones. I am also working on some T21CB beats – similar to this project. Furthermore I just released Rock 128, a chiptune album. Long story short, much on my plate but I wish to give you these songs one after another.

    Original version of Fly Poison

I thought I am posting you the original version of the song. Keep in mind that it was recorded with home tools only, therefore the sound quality is so-so. Same goes for the video. It was recorded with an old compact camera somewhere in 2009 or 2010.

  • [Single] Stage Selection

stage selection from rock 128 chiptune album

Click on the cover to grab Stage Selection chiptune single. It is my latest beat from Rock 128 8-bit album that has been inspired by Mega Man retro video game. I produced the album on a single pocket synthesizer, called PO-128. The PO-128 or Pocket Operator 128 Mega Man edition is a limited pocket instrument produced by Teenage Engineering. Please read the linked article above to deep-dive the benefits of this tool.

About the production of Stage Selection

Stage Selection is one of the songs that I have recorded during the production. As you can see in the video, it was indeed fully produced on a single micro-tool. I recorded every sound as is with my Tascam microphone via line-in. I only played with EQs and added a slight reverb to make it sound dope.

    Space Man (demo)

Another song is part of Stage Selection demo. This is the demo or first record version of Space Man that I have released on Rock 128 chiptune album. I recorded both beats live and made both videos available for you today.

The same goes for this song as the single title beat: it was recorded with the help of PO-128. I was eager to learn the use of this synthesizer so I started working on an album. During the production I learnt how to glide and use vibrate that are the key special effects of this tool. Furthermore I understood the differences compare to the PO-33, which is more a sampler. Even though both share the same layout, one must learn how to use them.
