About Nature Chill on the first floor set
Let me start by the end: the first floor. We live in a little flat in Budapest on the first floor. As a result, when I started creating sets during the 2020 lock down. I often did it outside in the good weather on the balcony.
As for nature chill, the answer is a bit longer. When I started composing beat based instrumental chill songs, I felt like missing something. All songs composed were a bit sterile. I missed a bit of an organic vibe. So I started experiencing sounds and looked for acoustic samples the much possible.
I am talking about the production of Earth album now. My tenth full album produced in 2018 along with As the Sun Sets, Fire at Night and Clouds EPs. This set of releases was ever considered as nature chill. Oriental vibe, acoustic kicks and soft piano melodies with bunch of reverb. I had to be careful not to add too much of reverb becoming space ambient.
After releasing Earth I felt like I will work on more albums in this genre. Leaf Green is a perfect example as a follow-up. Here I experimented a bit with arpeggios. Moon album on the other hand flavours nature chill with exotic spice.
Southern Vibes and Zeitgeist Guitarist EPs both features guest guitarists still remaining on the chill side of instrumental music. Whereas Tanabata is an EP I composed with one instrument rack on one night. All 5 songs!
Finally, A Drop of Water is another example for returning to the roots. After releasing several upbeat EPs in 2020, by August I decided to release another nature chill EP. I was unsure if it should be an album or EP. But I felt like the four song expresses my feelings completely.
