  • [Single] Ruins of Hope

    Ruins of Hope cover

Ruins of Hope is the second single of Ultra Sun album. I would describe this song as an Asian lo-fi chill beat. I produced the song on PO-33 KO. A little lo-fi sampler I acquired in mid-2021. Ever since becoming my number one tool for lo-fi beat production. Why? Simply, it is easy to work on beats. Instead of booting up and loading many project. Instead of turning on my PC, I just hit play and here I go.

Of course I change samples regularly and it takes some effort to make good sketches with it. Still, Ruins of Hope is a perfect example what PO-33 is capable of.

With regards to the song, it is a true nature chill-out song with acoustic samples being used. I added no arps or anything. As a result the song is pretty slow and chill.

Ultra Sun came with further singles as well. Keep following to get the latest news. Also if you liked the song, feel free to download it. • [Single] Starfish

Starfish is the last nature chill-out single from Turtle Island. A free beat you may grab below by clicking on the cover. It is a photo of an actual starfish I took years before. If I recall it well it was taken in Sardinia, Italy.

By the way, read more about my trip there in 2019 and check my chill videos.

Generally, Turtle Island is a concept EP I got based on my travels. The island of Zante heavily influenced me. But I wished to make it more a tribute to the Mediterranean Sea. I used Koala Sampler with chill guitar samples to make it sound dope. I consider this EP a medium tempo one. Not close to 60 bpm but more to 80-100. The reason is simple. Time-stretching is fairly doable with DAWs but yet to with Koala Sampler. On the other hand it is one of the EPs where I composed some songs on the go. It was more a test of the application and I feel like it was a success. In case of Starfish, I added some blips and boops with my PO-33 KO.

Anyways, enough of this, please enjoy the beat. Finally, thank you for listening!
