About Lofi Night mix
As the name suggests this mix contains less upbeat songs. My aim was to offer you a lo-fi set you can listen at night. I like drinking coffee occasionally at night, or a tea. They help me soothe my mind, while hot drinks warms me up. Especially loving this hobby of mine during winter, when it is cold outside.
LPs and EPs of Lofi Night mix
I choose from a large variety of Latte Chill releases. Altogether 10 LPs and EPs are participating on the first Lofi Night mix. The first one to mention is Chinese Restaurant, the EP that marks the return of Latte Chill. After almost 5 years of moderate break I restarted activities in 2017 with this 6 song piece. Fire at Night and As the Sun Sets are both nature chill-out EPs released back in 2018 before Earth album. I further spiced the mix with some space chill-out EPs inspired by Cowboy Bebop anime. They are Bebop II. and Bebop IV. For Lo-fi Memories and Stay Home to offer the most songs for this mix. Finally I had some songs from A Drop of Water, Tokyo19 and Tanabata EPs.
Year of Ox is a lofi and chill mix that is not just about dropping beats – I’m about creating experiences. My recent mix is a fully instrumental, hour-long session that goes beyond relaxation; it delves into the symbolism and essence of the Ox year in the Chinese zodiac, offering a unique soundscape infused with subtle oriental influences.
Capturing the Spirit of the Ox: Inspiration Behind the Mix
The Ox, in Chinese astrology, is known for its strength, stability, and perseverance. These qualities resonate deeply with the lofi and chill genre, which often provides a calming and focused atmosphere for studying, working, or simply unwinding to my point of view.
For Year of the Ox, I handpicked tracks that embody these characteristics. Gentle melodies evoke a sense of resilience, while steady rhythms represent unwavering determination. Subtle oriental elements, like delicate bamboo flutes or soft string arrangements mimicking pentatonic scales, add a touch of cultural authenticity.
Think of it as a sonic journey that reflects the grounded and dependable nature of the Ox, perfect for those seeking a calming yet focused atmosphere.

Genre Inspiration (Leaf Green, Chinese Restaurant, Tokyo19): I feature many of the beats from these EPs and LP.
