  • [Single] Boogieman

    Boogieman

Boogieman of Chilling Ermines is a collaboration with Jigsaw featuring the lofi hip-hop versions of old T21CB songs.

This song is a special one. Boogieman was born somewhere in 2015 as part of Unreleased 2. And no wonder we titled that release like that. We moved to Budapest from our hometown, Szeged. We also changed quite a bit, like started to work, more parties etc.

On the other hand from musical perspective there were changes either. We both live(d) in family houses back in Szeged, whereas in flats in Budapest. That means we needed to mind our neighbors. Not that we did it that much, still somehow less aggressive songs started to come. Maybe we become a bit more mature as well. Like how Buck-Tick changed over the years form (proto-)punk to that glam rock what we know these years.

Point is that these songs are part of a changing T21CB. An experimental era right before starting our work with Cay (on cajon) on Dirty DNA and after the punk rock album Rock Out.

Enjoy the song below through the YouTube link or scroll to the top and click on the cover. On our T21CB Bandcamp page we feature the single with 3 extra songs: demo version of Ermine Tribe and Static Noise.

  • [Single] Stray Cats’ Waltz

Stray Cats' Waltz - Latte Chill

Third single from Cherryland – a Dark Cherry lofi cover compilation.
Stray Cats’ Waltz is a song that was performed many times in 2010.

What can I say about this song. I have so much. As for the title, it was the actual working title of the song (later known as ‘Holdkeringő’ which stands for Moon Waltz in Hungarian).

Kyoki, the original author gave it and I liked this title so much to use it while working on the cover.

The lyrics where written by me. It is vaguely about Romeo and Juliet of Shakespeare. On top of that I even sing some words in archaic way to make it sound old as a song.

This song was recorded in studio and was released on our second studio single as a B-side song. We performed it in several towns and on several gigs despite its classical vibe.

Fun fact maybe that the drums are mixing rhythm at the end between 3/4 and 4/4 if I recall it well. It took weeks for Cay to practice so that he can play the changes while listening to the 4/4 metronome that helps him keeping the tempo.

    About Lofi Night mix

As the name suggests this mix contains less upbeat songs. My aim was to offer you a lo-fi set you can listen at night. I like drinking coffee occasionally at night, or a tea. They help me soothe my mind, while hot drinks warms me up. Especially loving this hobby of mine during winter, when it is cold outside.

LPs and EPs of Lofi Night mix

I choose from a large variety of Latte Chill releases. Altogether 10 LPs and EPs are participating on the first Lofi Night mix. The first one to mention is Chinese Restaurant, the EP that marks the return of Latte Chill. After almost 5 years of moderate break I restarted activities in 2017 with this 6 song piece. Fire at Night and As the Sun Sets are both nature chill-out EPs released back in 2018 before Earth album. I further spiced the mix with some space chill-out EPs inspired by Cowboy Bebop anime. They are Bebop II. and Bebop IV. For Lo-fi Memories and Stay Home to offer the most songs for this mix. Finally I had some songs from A Drop of Water, Tokyo19 and Tanabata EPs.
