Sakura Beat

Sakura Beat by Latte Chill – the first of a long series. I plan to work on more cherry blossom inspired Japanese oriental chill-out mixes. Cherry Blossom is a great event in Japan and all over the World symbolizing the reborn of nature. Commonly know as Sakura. This is my hour long tribute to the event.

Sakura Beat songs were chosen from many albums

Oriental chill is pretty much part of my beats, but I kind of scatter them on different albums. In these mixes I fuse my past (even 10+ year old) LPs with my latest releases to offer a timeless sakura beat mix.

I have chosen beats from Earth nature chill album. Year 2017 also delegated an oriental chill beat ‘South Chinese Sea’. Leaf Green became number three on my list. Lavender offers a bitter but cleansing vibe to the listener. It matches the feeling you may encounter if you have ever played with Pokémon Red/Blue games.

Moon offered the opening beat ‘Iki’ for Sakura Beat. Contrary to Leaf Green’s Lavender, Iki is happy and upbeat. It brings back the sunny vibe of the mix. Orange is another example for nature chill beats I desired to feature on Sakura Beat.

Memories of the Untold is an album from the past. While I cannot say it is a fully oriental one. It has lots of songs inspired by the Far East. Two of them are being featured on Sakura Beat. Finally, Dragonic Eve closes the mix with ‘Epilogue’.

Starting with Chinese Restaurant. An EP fully dedicated to the Far East and therefore a must for Sakura Beat mix. Followed by Tokyo19, the oriental EP I produced inspired by my trip to Tokyo in 2019. Color Scheme also features songs on the mix. This EP is an interesting one: I feature traditional Asian instruments only on the release. Furthermore all songs are in pentatonic scale that were used in China mainly.

Fire at Night is part of Earth story, one of the first nature chill beats from 2018. Tanabata on the other hand brought 2 songs, both dreamy yet oriental.

Chill Mixtery #4

Chill Mixtery #4 is out and loud. Nature and oriental chill-out beats with a hint of lo-fi. A selection from 10 EPs from 2018-2019. In case you are interested in them, you can scroll until the end of the tracklist and find the links to all my releases on stream platforms free.

This time the mix is well over 90 minutes (truth to be told just under 100) with a total number of 32 songs including collabs with guitarists as well as remakes of my old art-rock bands’ songs. In short a variety of instrumental music carefully selected.

Releases of Chill Mixtery

Color Scheme oriental EP is the starting point of Chill Mixtery #4. It is followed by ReMirakels. An experimental chiptune EP. The third release is Southern Vibes from 2018. I feature Mr. Adamistique as a guest artist on the guitars. Number four, Tanabata was a surprise EP. I composed the whole thing in one night. I loved working on the EP that offers a dreamy floating vibe.

It was followed by three space ambient releases: Bebop II., Bebop III. and Bebop IV. After having enough float in the space. Let us return to Earth with a hefty topic: BR.Exit. It was quite a shock in 2019 when it really happened. An electro experimental mix shows my feelings.

Finally two more releases to go. Tokyo19, a short oriental EP I composed after my return from Tokyo. Zeitgeist Guitarist on the other hand is the result of a major co-work with two fellow artist. The last EP of Chill Mixtery #4 features guests artists in 5 out of 6 songs.

It is difficult for me to express my feelings after finishing a mix like this. After all it really sums up 10 releases. As many, I change a bit through every beats. As a result this is really a chill mixtery. You may find space beats, oriental ones. Also upbeat and sad songs. That makes your 90 minutes different. Enjoy~

Short information about 13th anniversary mix

It was fully ad-hoc! I mean, I just realised it is my 13th year. So I put on my first albums and ended up with this little mix. It was so unplanned that the cover is a plant in our living room. Though it looks good to my point of view. I mean, it really offers the chill-out vibe I wish to convince with Latte Chill project.

LPs and EPs of the 13th Anniversary Mix

Y to start with. Y was the second album I released as a solo artist. On the other hand the first one that was originally instrumental. Clearly, the beginning of something new – that is what it means to me.

Moon is another album I decided to feature on the anniversary mix. 2019 was a particularly active year for me in terms of travelling. We had 4 trips with my wife including Sardinia, Tokyo and Zante.

Moon LP was heavily influenced by Leaf Green. So let me feature a song from this release as well. Similarly to Moon, Leaf Green was released in 2019, but earlier. The featuring song is called ‘Saffron’ and available for free below.

After years of break by the end of 2016, I restarted my solo works with Chinese Restaurant. Technically this EP marks my final turn to chill-out beats as well as the born of the name ‘Latte Chill’. Midnight Melody as a song is particularly close to me. I decided to share it with you for free.

Fire at Night is a nature chill-out EP from 2018 with some reworks of my original beats. Whereas Café Yami was released a bit earlier in 2017. The latter features ‘Path of Moon’, a sad piano play chill song you may download for free as part of my 13th anniversary mix.

‘Silent Nite Club’, an upbeat oriental song, part of Dragonic Eve and the forthcoming Memories of the Untold where also listed as part of the anniversary. The second album features ‘The World of Hora’, which is an experimental electronic song, available below.

Let’s jump a bit. 11th album was Soul Silver with Game Boy Advance inspired sound notes and samples. The album is full of improvisations and being part of my history with its unique way of producing it. Adding ‘Blackthorn’ to my list.

‘Digital Coffee’ was originally released on Year 2017. Along with my return, I decided to compose at least a song every month and share it with my audience. Digital Coffee was my release for September. The song has another meaning however: my first ever pet’s theme song. RIP Mr. Toka.

Orange, my 14th album was released after a very difficult time period. Due to those times it may never be my fave album, yet feel very close to me. I decided to add ‘Floe’, a chill-out song you may get below pro bono.

My third album from 2009 closes the 13th anniversary mix with ‘Sad Day’. The Empire has the honour to have one of my fave sad chill songs on the tracklist.
